Found Money Fund total as of 7/28/08: $250,009.69

The Found Money Fund of Idaho was established in 1981 with three cents...no kidding.

All found money is invested in the University of Idaho Trust and will be available for use at the university's bi-centennial in 2089. It is expected that the fund will be worth several billion dollars at that time. Only the interest will be used in perpetuity to enhance the image of the university.

So, the next time you see a penny or nickel on the ground...pick it up for the University of Idaho!  Explore the early history of the Found Money Fund of Idaho!
